James Gunn Confirms GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Will Happen

We haven’t even seen Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 yet, but the fans already know that they’re going to want to see more of these characters! After the Guardians team up with the Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War, it looks like we’ll see the team of misfits join up again for another adventure in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

The news comes from director James Gunn himself in an interview with Complex. When asked if there were any plans for a third film, he said:

“There will be a Guardians 3, that’s for sure. We’re trying to figure it out. I’m trying to figure out what I want to do really, that’s all it is. I got to figure out where I want to be, what I want to spend the next three years of my life doing.

“You know, I’m going to make another big movie; is it the Guardians or something else? I’m just going to figure it out over the next couple of weeks.”

I imagine that after Vol. 2 is released, Gunn will be able to direct a non-Guardians film if he wanted to before he jumps back in for a third chapter of the franchise. It might be good for him. The fact of the matter is, he’ll have the time to do both if he wanted to. When previously asked if he would come back to direct a Vol. 3, he said:

“Right now I really am just concerned with doing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I’m not sure what I’m going to do after this… Marvel has talked to me about continuing on. I’m not sure if that’s what I want to do or if that’s not what I want to do. I really just want to make Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 the greatest possible movie that I can, and something that’s as honest and sincere and true as it can possibly be.”

It’s hard to believe that Gunn wouldn’t be back to write and direct Vol. 3, he just loves these character too much to pass them off to another director at this point. While we wait to see what Gunn does next, and before I even think about what a third Guardians of the Galaxy film will even entail, we still have to watch Vol. 2

It’s comforting to know that there are plans in place to bring them back after Infinity War.

Find every item, weapon and shrine in ‘Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ with this map

If you read our review of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you know that it’s one of the best games of the year and an incredible launch title for the Nintendo Switch. What you might not know is where to find all the shrines, weapons, side quests and Korok Seeds in the game’s absolutely massive open world, but this interactive map on Zelda Maps will help you find each and every secret that the game is hiding.

There are 30 different categories to cycle between on Zelda Maps, including memories, sets of armor, Sheikah Towers, Great Fairies, stables and even cracked walls that Link can blow up with bombs.

While there are dozens of locations already included on the map, several categories are clearly still under construction. For example, other than Korok Seeds, most of the options in the “items” category are empty, including food, herbs and mushrooms. Items (especially items used in cooking) are absolutely everywhere in Breath of the Wild, so it makes sense that this category would take some time to complete.

There’s a lot of work to be done before every point of interest and item will be present on the map, but if you’re tired of running around Hyrule looking for something to do, use this map to navigate your way to a Korok Seed or an undiscovered shrine. Also, if you log in with an account, you can right click on the map to add your own marker, just in case you find something that hasn’t been added.

Selection Sunday 2017: How to watch the March Madness bracket selection show

Championship Week has officially come to a close, and we’re just minutes away from the unveiling of the bracket for the 2017 edition of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, aka March Madness.

Known as Selection Sunday, today is the day that the Division I men’s basketball committee evaluates all 340+ college basketball teams to determine which have earned a spot in the tournament. According to the NCAA, the committee first selects the 36 best at-large teams, then seeds the field of 68 teams and finally places the teams into the bracket, which is what we’re all tuning in for at 5:30 pm ET tonight.

If you want to watch the selection show live tonight, you have a few options. If you’re near a TV, you can simply watch the show on CBS, where it will be broadcast nationally. On the other hand, if you don’t have cable or would rather watch on a computer, you can visit this site to stream the show live for free.

Those who prefer to watch on their phones and tablets can watch the show on the NCAA March Madness Live app, which is available for both iOS and Android. If you plan on keeping track of the scores and streaming the games throughout the week, you’re going to want to have this app on all of your mobile devices.

The selection show will be hosted by Greg Gumbel, who will be joined by analysts Clark Kellogg and Seth Davis in New York. Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith will chime in with commentary of their own as well from Atlanta during the broadcast. While last year’s show was over 2 hours long, the network claims that this year’s rendition will be condensed to 90 minutes.

While most of us will be waiting for the show to finish to begin working on our brackets, you can get a head start by printing out a blank bracket now and filling it in as the show progresses on Sunday night.

Alfred Hitchcock Talks His Love of Fear in Classic Animated Interview

If you’re looking for an expert on the world of horror, you won’t find much better than Alfred Hitchcock. While this interview is over 40 years old, it seems not a lot of Horror directors today have heard it. In the interview, Hitchcock says that audiences love “toe in the water,” fear with a resolve. He mentions people’s love of roller coasters and how we love to scare ourselves riding them while simultaneously blocking out that a slight malfunction could mean our instantaneous deaths. He also references one of his past films where he learned the hard way what happens when you introduce fear with resolve, and how it was a mistake in his filmmaking. Fascinating stuff to hear from a legend in the genre.

Apple still destroys all other PC makers in one important way

It’s been a lackluster few years for Apple’s Mac lineup. The iconic MacBook Air has been put out to pasture, the new MacBook Pro distinctly underwhelmed creative types, and I can’t even remember the last time anyone said anything about the Mac Pro. In the meantime, Chromebooks are taking off, and even Microsoft has started to do interesting things again.

But hardware aside, there’s still something that Apple does far better than competition: customer service. According to Laptop Mag’s Tech Support Showdown list, Apple headily beats the competition for the quickest and best customer service of any major manufacturer.

The rankings are produced by real-world testing, where Laptop Mag gets editors to try the phone and live chat support features of each manufacturer. They get a grade based on the speed of support and quality of information, which feeds into an overall score.

Apple won the test outright, with an overall 93/100 and an average call time of just six minutes. Laptop Mag said that “Apple offers the best tech support in the business, year after year. The company’s website and mobile app are loaded with helpful, step-by-step tutorials and, whether you reach them via phone or live chat, support reps are knowledgeable and friendly. Apple also answered Twitter messages quickly and accurately.”

The only real complaint was an occasional lack of knowledge about new features. That’s to be expected, especially given that Apple’s reps are responsible for supporting more than just hardware.

Acer, a company that’s long had a reputation for poor support, actually moved into second place in this year’s test, with a score of 88. Lenovo and Microsoft were next, while Asus, Samsung and MSI round out the bottom.

It’s not as easy as blanket-comparing specs, but knowing how good a company’s tech support is can make or break a product experience. I’ve ended up contacting support for almost every laptop I’ve ever owned, and the result can be the difference between your problem being fixed in an afternoon, or being without a laptop for weeks after sending it for service.

DEADPOOL 2 Casts ATLANTA Star Zazie Beetz as Domino

A recent casting call described Domino like this:

Neena is a no-nonsense badass who rarely shows her feeling. Highly capable, supremely confident and armored in… well ARMOR… and bullet-proof sarcasm. But beneath her shell she’s still and vulnerable and some soft, beating remnant of her humanity remains intact.

I’m a big fan of Zeetz’s work on Atlanta, and I’m excited to see her have the opportunity to step up in a huge movie like this. Recent rumors pegged Moonlight and Hidden Figures star Janelle Monae as the frontrunner for the part, but that obviously didn’t end up being the truth. Zeetz beat out reported contenders ranging from Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Sofia Boutella to Lizzy Caplan and Ruby Rose, with many others in between. Deadpool 2 debuted a short film before Logan, and will arrive in theaters sometime in 2018.

How to use Nintendo Switch controllers with your NES Classic Edition

If you’re a Nintendo superfan, there’s a chance you have two “new” Nintendo consoles sitting in your living room right now: the Switch and the NES Classic Edition. Both are great systems with notable flaws, but the biggest issue with the NES Classic Edition is the length of the wired controller that comes in the box.

Thankfully, if you bought a Switch as well, you can actually use your Joy-Con controllers or your Pro Controller with your NES Classic. All you need is a cheap wireless dongle and a firmware update.

Not long ago, 8Bitdo released a Retro Receiver for the NES Classic Edition to give owners the option to pair Bluetooth controllers with their wireless game controllers. This week, 8bitdo rolled out a firmware update for the Retro Receiver that would allow it to connect with the Joy-Cons and Switch Pro Controller. CNET’s Scott Stein installed the firmware, plugged in the receiver and found it to work without a hitch.

While the lack of a D-pad will certainly make the Joy-Con a less than ideal partner for the NES Classic, it’s petite form factor makes it one of the better travel controllers available. On the other hand, the Pro Controller is one of Nintendo’s best controllers since the WaveBird, so if you have to choose, that’s probably the way to go. Either way, it’s nice to see some interoperability between Nintendo’s latest devices.

Head to this page on 8bitdo’s website to download the latest Retro Receiver firmware.

Jason Momoa Set to Star in Big Screen Adaptation of JUST CAUSE with Director Brad Peyton

Peyton and Momoa previously worked together on the Netflix’s series Frontier. It’s actually pretty good, and it’s nice that they are coming together to work on bringing Just Cause to life as a feature film.

The story basically centers around a character named Rico Rodriguez (Momoa), who’s an operative for an organization known as the Agency. There are no official plot details for the film, but according to Deadline it’s “expected to deal in some way with Rico’s crisis of conscience while on a mission.” Here’s the plot description for the first game, which will obviously serve as inspiration for the upcoming film:

Just Cause begins with Rico Rodriguez, an operative for an organization known as the Agency, being dropped into a Caribbean tropical island called San Esperito, after being called there by his commanding officer, Tom Sheldon, to help overthrow San Esperito’s dictator, Salvador Mendoza, whom the Agency believes to be in possession of weapons of mass destruction. After his arrival, Rico meets up with Sheldon and fellow agent Maria Kane, and they ally themselves with a guerrilla group staging a rebellion against the regime and the Rioja drug cartel, another enemy of the government. Rico assists them in their civil war against Mendoza’s corrupt officials; Black Hand mercenaries and the Montano cartel. Rico can also assist in the liberation of various territories to further destabilize the government’s rule over the island.

Eventually, Sheldon discovers that Mendoza does, indeed, have control of WMDs, and with San Esperito so politically unstable and with the guerrillas having the upper hand, the president is forced to retreat to his private presidential island just off the mainland. Sheldon and Kane fly Rico to the island to kill Mendoza, but he attempts to escape via jet. However, Rico boards the jet and kills Mendoza and his remaining bodyguards, stopping his reign on the islands.

I’ve only played the first game in the franchise, but Just Cause is sure to make an action-packed, adrenaline-fueled adventure film. That’s pretty much what I’d expect from the talent that they’ve brought on board to develop the movie.

Momoa recently shot Justice League and will also star in the Aquaman solo film. Peyton is about to start production on Dwayne Johnson‘s big screen adaptation of the classic game Rampage. He’s also set to direct the sci-fi adventure film Black Hole

Lightning-fast robot clinches Rubik’s Cube world record

A robot designed by a German engineer has set a new world record for completing a Rubik’s Cube, Guinness World Records has confirmed.

The Sub 1 Reloaded robot, which is the brainchild of engineer Albert Beer, solved the famous puzzle in a mind-boggling 0.637 seconds, beating the prior record of 0.887 seconds.

The robot, which harnesses a processor from chipmaker Infineon Technologies, used its six mechanical arms to complete the Cube in 21 moves during its record attempt last year.

The machine received two pictures of the cube, identified the color of each piece and then calculated a solution by using a Two-Phase Algorithm devised by Herbert Kociemba. The solution was then passed on to the Infineon processor, which orchestrated the moves.

A video shows the robot achieving the incredible feat – just be careful not to blink!
